Each social media (Google, Kakaotalk, Apple and Facebook) account is recognized as a separate account.
Please make sure to sign in using the same account you used to sign up.

* If you don’t see the sign in method on your partner’s screen, your partner needs to update SumOne to the latest version.

I deleted the social media account I used to sign in with SumOne and made a new account (KakaoTalk, Apple, Google, Facebook).

I was automatically logged out

Been away from SumOne for a while?
To protect user information, the SumOne account will automatically sign out if it is not used for a certain period of time.
* Please note that the device may sign out by itself due to system errors.

I want to know if my partner signed out of or deleted SumOne

Signing out or deleting the app does not disconnect the couple, and you will not be able to check whether your partner signed out or deleted the app.
If your partner [Disconnect Couple], their nickname will disappear and [My Love] will be displayed instead on the home screen.

SumOne data security

If I sign in with my Kakaotalk account, can all my Kakaotalk friends see my data from SumOne?
SumOne only uses social media accounts for signing in, and does not collect any personal information.
We do not have access to private information such as the social media account ID / your name etc.
In addition, all your data on SumOne is safely stored in the SumOne server, and we do not share or collect it without your approval.

How do you manage the data on SumOne?

We are constantly working to periodically strengthen personal information security.

I want to make several SumOne accounts.

Each social media account is recognized as a seperate users.
You can make different accounts by using different social media accounts.
* However, you may experience limitations while using SumOne if you create SumOne accounts recklessly.

I want to cancel my SumOne account.

If you wish to delete your account, go to [SumOne – Couple💍(Bottom Right) – Setting(Top Right) – My SumOne Information – Delete SumOne account] All your data will be deleted, and your account will get canceled.
* Please be aware that if both you and your partner cancel your accounts, you will not be able to recover any of your data.

I want to edit my information

You can change your nickname and anniversary on the Couple Screen.
To do this, go to [Home screen – Couple tab(bottom right) – Our nicknames] and edit the desired information.

💔Disconnect

We had a fight and disconnected couple out of anger. Can we restore our data?

To restore a couple connection, you need to use the newly created Couple Code. You cannot use the old code.
The old connection and data will get restored after connecting through the new Couple Code.
Please note that entering the previous Couple Code will result in an error.

Checklist and Precautions
✔ Are you both logged in with the same social media account you selected when signing up?
Google, Kakao, Apple, and Facebook accounts are treated as different accounts.
Please sign in with the same social media account as before.
✔ If you re-subscribed after closing the social media account you used to sign in (e.g. making a new Kakao Talk account after deleting the account), you cannot restore the old data, and you will need to go through the account transfer process.
Go to [Account and Connection – I re-subscribed after deleting the social media account I used to sign in to SumOne].
✔ You can connect to your partner only if you are both not connected to anyone else. (Your partner’s nickname should appear as “My Love” on the home screen)

1. Sign in with the social media account you selected when signing up.
2. Enter your basic information such as nickname, birthday, blood type, etc.
3. Next, tap the [X] on top of the screen of your newly issued couple code.
4. Please confirm again that your partner’s nickname is empty on the home screen. (It should only show “My Love”)
5. [Home screen – Couple💍 (bottom right) – Settings⚙️ (top right) – Couple connection]

6. Tap Restore couple connection.
7. Receive your partner’s code and enter it into the [Enter Code] box.
* If there is an error in the couple recovery, please make sure that the Couple Code is correct.
8. Once restored, the couple connection screen will appear after 1~2 seconds.

* If you can’t see the nickname or answers properly after restoring your couple connection, go to [Home – Couple💍 (bottom right tab) – Settings⚙️( (top right) – Fix Error – Refresh Data]
* If you have trouble recovering the couple restoration, please contact us through [Contact SumOne]

If I sign out or delete the app, will it disconnect the couple and delete all the data?

The entered data is not stored on the phone, but is stored on a separate SumOne server.
Signing out or deleting the app won’t erase everything, and the couple connection will not be disconnected.

The only way to disconnect couple is by
1. selecting disconnect couple within SumOne app
2. deleting SumOne account

What happens if I disconnect couple?

If you disconnect with your partner, your nickname will disappear from your partner’s Main Page and change to ‘My love.’

All the data about your partner will disappear from each other’s couple page.

* Your partner will not receive a notification even if you disconnect with them.

One of us decided to disconnect as a couple.

Example
User who disconnected the couple [User A]
User who remained on SumOne [User B]

The remaining user on SumOne [User B] can share a new SumOne invitation code to [User A],
and [User A] can reconnect by entering the couple code shared by [User B].
* You must select the social media account you initially used when signing up.
* You can check the couple code from your parter’s account [SumOne Home – Couple💍 (bottom right tab) – Settings (top right) – couple connection].
* Please be aware that if you try to connect using a different method, the previous contents may be deleted.

✔️ If you disconnected the couple connection -> Ask your partner to send you the invitation code, enter the code, and reconnect.
✔️ If your partner disconnected the couple connection -> Share the invitation code with your partner and help them enter the code to connect.

After completing the connection, sign out and sign in again using the same account.

I'm trying to use SumOne with another person, but the previous data is still there.

To start using SumOne with another person, you need to disconnect with your previous couple connection.
To disconnect and delete your previous data, go to [SumOne – Couple💍(Bottom Right) – Setting⚙️(Top Right) – Couple connection – Disconnect couple].

What features does SumOne Gold provide?

SumOne Gold is a paid service that offers additional premium features, providing various benefits.

Benefits

  • SumOne Gold applies to both individuals even if only one of them purchases it.
  • In-app banner ads disappear.
  • Includes one SumOne Time change ticket that allows you to select SoldOut SumOne Time.
  • The number of Hakoo emojis used in the Hakoo Diary increases.
  • The maximum number of characters for writing responses increases to 600.
  • The limit on the number of Nudges disappears.
  • The period for data restoration after breaking up with a couple or withdrawing from SumOne extends from 30 days to up to 90 days.

In addition, updates exclusive to SumOne Gold continue.

I want to refund my purchase.

Refunds for purchasing SumOne Gold are only possible within 48 hours of your purchase.
(*In the case of duplicate charges, refunds can be made even after 48 hours.)

Android Refund Policy

Capture the billing text you received after payment, check that it has the correct order number and payment date,
and send it to us through [Contact SumOne.]

IPhone refund policy
✔️ Are you using an Apple device?
Due to Apple’s policy, the company cannot process refunds, and you must request a refund yourself.
Please check the policy below for the refund method.

If I change my phone or if I use SumOne with another person, do I have to purchase it again?

✔️The purchase history data is applied to the couple’s account, not to the device.

There won’t be any difference if you sign in with the same account on your new device.

But, if you made a change in your Kakaotalk account due to a change of phone number, you need to transfer your account.

✔️Making a new couple connection with another person, makes your previous purchases disappear.

Why do I have to purchase Sumone Gold again when using it with someone else?

SumOne Gold is a 1+1 system and was developed in a way so that it can be applied to both people when one person makes the purchase.
It is applied to the couple’s account, and just as the couple’s data disappears when the couple is disconnected, the previous purchases also disappear.
If you are connected to another person with a new couple account, you must newly purchase SumOne Gold to use its services again.

Do I have to watch Get FREE pebbles for SumOne Gold?

As the pebbles from [Get FREE pebbles here!] are additional rewards based on the users’ choice, SumOne Gold users must also watch the advertisement to get its rewards.

I am on SumOne Gold. How do I use the SumOne Time Ticket?
[Home – Couple💍 (bottom right) – Upgrade to SumOne Gold (far bottom) – Item Bag🎒 – Use SumOne Time Change Ticket – Change SumOne Time]
* SumOne Time Change Ticket can only be used once, so please choose carefully.

What is SumOne Time?

SumOne Time is ‘when EggMon delivers the daily question’, and you receive the question at the time of your choice when you set up SumOne Time.
To better handle the influx of users using SumOne at once, we set a limit on the number of people that can request a question per time slot.
We are slowly increasing the limit on the number of users, but there may be sold-out SumOne Times as users prefer similar times.

How to set SumOne Time
1. After completing the couple connection, you both need to answer the first question.
2. Enter the SumOne Time Setting button displayed on the main screen.
3. After agreeing on a time with your partner, any one of you can select the SumOne Time.
4. You can check your SumOne Time by going to [Home – Couple💍 (bottom right) – Our nicknames – SumOne Time].
* When one of you picks a time, the time will be set for both of you.

I want to change SumOne Time.
[Home – Couple💍 (bottom right) – Upgrade to SumOne Gold (far bottom) – Item Bag🎒 – Use SumOne Time Change Ticket – Change SumOne Time]
* Once set it is not easy to change the SumOne Time, and the only way to change it is to purchase SumOne Gold, which includes one SumOne Time Change Ticket, so please choose carefully.
* The SumOne Time Change Ticket from [SumOne Gold] allows you to select from any time slot including sold-out times.
* Even if you purchase [SumOne Gold], please note that you can only change SumOne Time ONCE.

Why is it that only SumOne Gold users can change SumOne Time?

Why is it that only SumOne Gold users can change SumOne Time?
The service was developed to deliver a question once a day(24 hours), and as such, various errors may occur if SumOne Time is changed frequently.

We have notified several times that it is impossible to change SumOne Time, but as many users have requested to change their SumOne Time, we have added the feature to change SumOne Time.

To change SumOne Time, please refer to the FAQ [SumOne Time – I want to change SumOne Time.]

I can't see the SumOne Time Setting.

1. Did you both answer the first question?
The SumOne Time Setting button will appear on the main screen once you and your partner complete answering the first question.


2. Did your partner already set SumOne Time?
If your partner has already set SumOne Time, the setting is complete and you will not see the option to set it.

If these don’t apply to you and you still can’t see SumOne Time Setting on the screen,
please contact us through [Home – Couple💍 (bottom right) – Contact SumOne].

How do I set SumOne Time if I'm in a long distance relationship?

If you and your partner are in countries with different time zones, the SumOne Time will be adjusted to match the time of the user who first set up SumOne Time.

Example
[User A] User in the United States
[User B] User in South Korea (+13 hours)

If User A sets SumOne Time to 9pm, it will be set at 10am for User B.

Why does our SumOne Time change during Daylight Savings Time?

Do you live in a country that uses DST? Your SumOne Time could temporarily change if you do.
SumOne Time does not follow your device’s time settings. It is set by GMT/UTC.
*Time may vary depending on the country of residence.

Example
DST Start date: March 1st, 2023 (if it’s -1 hour)
Original SumOne Time: 11:00 AM
SumOne Time during DST: 12:00 PM


DST Ending date: November 1st, 2023
SumOne Time during DST: 12:00 PM
Original SumOne Time: 11:00 AM

💌 Question / Answer

Does it accumulate if I don't answer? / I want to receive the questions I missed.

SumOne is a service where a new question is delivered daily based on the SumOne Time set by both of you.
However, a new question will only be delivered once both of you have completed answering the question you’ve already received.


Reference Notes
– You can only receive new questions once attendance has been completed.

– It is difficult to inquire and share information about the initial response time of either yourself or the other party.
– If there is no history of receiving questions within 24 hours based on SumOne Time, as soon as both of you complete your answers to the already received question, 1 new question will be delivered. (No additional questions will be provided besides this.)

I'm not receiving the questions.

1. Check that you two have the correct SumOne Time!
You can receive questions at the SumOne Time set by you or your partner, and you can check SumOne Time at [Home – Couple💍 (bottom right) – Our nicknames – SumOne Time].

2. Make sure that you have both answered the previous day’s question.
You will only receive the next question after both answers have been submitted.

Why can I receive only one question a day?

The reason there is only one question a day is to make sure that couples don’t feel burdened like they ‘HAVE TO’ write their answers.
The goal is to write a short answer once a day, and to share each other’s thoughts on a daily basis.

You may feel that there aren’t enough questions, but it gives you the opportunity to elaborate on the given question and share your deep feelings every day!

On top of that, we are planning various additional contents such as adding questions and memo features for our users who want to share more with their partner.

I want to extend the character limit.

If you watch an advertisement by selecting the [limit x2] button on the bottom of the page where you write your answer, the character limit will get increased from 200 to 400.

Also, SumOne Gold users have a character limit of 600 with no ads.

How to use comments

You can write a comment only after answering the question by going to [Answer page – 💬(bottom right comment button)].
If you have not answered the question, you will not be able to see the comments to that question.

What is a pebble?

✔️ What is a pebble?
Pebble is SumOne’s currency that you can collect and use together. You can check the amount you currently hold on the top left corner of the home screen.

✔️ How can I collect pebbles?
You can collect Pebbles with the daily check-in reward on the [Home] screen, from feeding EggMon, and from Today’s News at the top of the [Shop page].

✔️ What can I do with pebbles?
You can get EggMon’s Diary pages, and purchase all the items on the [Shop page] such as memo papers, EggMon’s birth certificate, and changing EggMon’s name.
We will soon be adding various content you can buy with pebbles, so stay tuned!

Hakoo Diary

✔️Who is Hakoo?
Hakoo is EggMon’s old friend.
The name ‘Hakoo’ was created from ‘Heart Cookie’, and it is a helpful friend who helps the couples with various things, such as making monthly reports and handling EggMon’s birth certificate.

✔️What is the Hakoo Diary?
The ‘Hakoo Diary’ feature allows you to share your feelings with your partner and for you to check each other’s daily mood status, using a simple facial expression emoji.
SumOne Basic users can choose from 6 Hakoo Emojis, while SumOne Gold users can choose from 12.
The answers to the questions can be edited, but today’s mood emoji cannot be changed once selected.

How to use Hakoo Diary

1. First receive Today’s Question.
2. After browsing the various Hakoo emojis, choose a Haku that best suits your mood for the day.
3. Enter your answer to today’s question.
4. Check your partner’s answer and the mood they selected!

Memo feature

The Memo feature is a function that allows you to share meaningful words with your partner, and display important contents on the main screen.

Memo can be purchased in the [Shop] by clicking the top left button on the home screen.
They can be displayed on the home screen through the [Hang it up] button at the bottom right after you wrote it.
You can check the list of all the memos you wrote in [Home screen – Couple💍 (bottom right) – Our memo].

* Please note that you can’t edit the memo after you saving it.

EggMon's diary

Before meeting your couple, EggMon wrote picture diaries about their life before and after meeting you.

The diary is divided into three stages.
Stage 1 is a regular picture diary.
Stage 2 is decorated with stickers.
Stage 3 is a moving video diary.
Every time the same diary page is opened, the diary page levels up until it reaches stage 3.

You can open a diary page by purchasing it from [Shop (pebble icon top left) – EggMon’s Diary] with the pebbles you collect with your partner. The purchased diary list can be found in the third [Diary🗒] tab at the bottom right of the home screen, and can be displayed on the main screen through the [Hang it up] button at the bottom right of the diary screen.

nudge feature

The nudge feature is a function that allows you to nudge your patner by pressing the [Nudge] button at the top of the EggMon on the home screen when they are not answering the question.

Get FREE pebbles

[Get FREE pebbles here!] is a pebble charging station. You can get free pebbles after watching an advertisement by going to the [Shop] at the top left of the home screen, and tapping [Get FREE pebbles here!] banner. You can do this up to 10 times a day. The ad limit resets every day at 12am UTC.

What is SumOne Interior?

It’s a function that allows you to decorate the home screen where EggMon lives.

Objects of various designs are prepared for each theme, and you can build it together with your partner.

You can also find out your interior design preferences! More themes will be continue to be added.

How do I purchase Interior Objects?

There are two ways to purchase interior objects.

1. Top left corner of the home screen [pebble icon] – Purchase from the Shop page

2. [Brush icon] at the top right of the home screen – Purchase from the Interior page

Why is there ??? among the objects?

This is a surprise gift given to you when you got all the objects of that theme.

The total number of objects for each theme is 11, and the theme completion gauge is filled with each purchase.

When you have purchased all 11 objects of a theme, the [???] box for that theme will start shaking!

Go on and open. You will receive a special gift🎁✨

Can't I place the Objects wherever I want?

Interior Objects can only be placed in their designated locations.

Click the [?] icon in the upper right corner of the Interior page to view the designated location explanation.

Our home screens are different. OR I don't have the interior feature

The interior feature is available from 1.10.0 version and up.

Make sure your app is updated on the store.

About EggMon

An EggMon is a very curious little friend.

They are curious about love and ask the couple questions about love every day, and grow feeding on the love energy of your answers.
EggMons hatch from eggs and grow up to resemble the couple.

EggMon's Birth Certificate

The first thing to do when an EggMon is born, is to register the birth certificate.
This is the law of the Egg planet where EggMon was born.


First, discuss with your partner about what to name your EggMon, and then register the brith certificate with the name of the EggMon through by selecting [EggMon birth certificate] at the shop(pebble icon) on the top left corner of the home screen.
Since there is a high price to change names, please make a decision on the name through sufficient discussion with your partner.

The name of the EggMon on the birth certificate can be seen in the Couple tab, and it will be used in various ways in the future.

How to raise EggMon / growth period

The fastest way to grow your EggMon is to leave sincere answers.

The evolution period of the EggMon and the type of EggMon are determined based on the various data entered by your couple.
This means the evolution period and the appearance of the EggMon may be different for each couple.
Most EggMons will take around the same time to evolve, but please don’t feel rushed even if the evolution takes longer than other EggMons.

Please take care of your EggMon with love!

Feeding EggMon

When you feed an EggMon, there is a chance to receive Pebbles according to probability. The feeding is refreshed at UTC 00:00, and you must feed them by 11:59 PM the next day to be eligible for the feeding and Pebble reward accumulation of that day.

During the event, the probability and the number of Pebbles may change.
– Even if you do not feed them, there is no problem with the growth of your EggMon.

Is there a problem with EggMon?

✔️The EggMon has returned to the box / The EggMon disappeared from the screen / My EggMon and my partner’s EggMon look different.

If you have a problem with your EggMon, go to [Couple💍(bottom right) – Setting⚙️(top right) – Fix Errors – Refresh Data], and check if the current version of SumOne is the latest version.

Version information can be found in [Setting⚙️ – My SumOne Information], and if the version of SumOne you are using is outdated, the growth rate of your EggMon may appear to be different.

If updating the app does not resolve the problem, please contact us through [Home – Couple💍 (bottom right) – Contact SumOne].

I want to change my EggMon to another one.

You want to change your sweet little EggMon…?
We are worried that your EggMon will feel hurt.🥺

An EggMon who has already been born can’t be changed as it is a friend who was born from analyzing the input data of your couple.

Please take care of your EggMon who is always there to support your love!🥚❤️

It is not possible to connect to the application.

First, please try to connect to a different data network.
The firewalls of public networks (schools, offices, etc.) can be an issue occasionally.


Is the connection to the app still not smooth?
If so, please check the solution for your device.

  1. Your device [Settings – cellular – ‘SumOne’ app cellular data ON]
  2. If the above solution does not work, please go to your device [Settings – General – Date & Time – Set Automatically ON]

✔️ If you’re using an Android device

  • Device [Settings – General – Date & Time – Set Date & Time Automatically ON]

All my data disappeared when I signed in again after signing out

✔️ Have you canceled and changed your Kakaotalk account?

If you changed your account, please check the FAQ for [Accounts and connection- ‘I deleted the social media account I used to sign in with SumOne and made a new account (KakaoTalk, Apple, Google, Facebook).’]

✔️ Also, for iOS Apple devices, Apple sign in / KakaoTalk sign in are treated as separate accounts.
Make sure that the account you have already connected is an Apple sign in or KakaoTalk sign in!
Please remember and try with the same SNS sign in.

We both answered the question but I can't see my partner's answer.

The version of the app must be at least 1.10.0. Once updated, go to [Home – Couple💍 (bottom right tab) – Settings⚙️( (top right) – Fix Error – Refresh Data].

What do I do if basic features of SumOne such as home screen, answering questions, and comments don't work properly?

First, sign out and sign in again. Then go to [Home – Couple💍 (bottom right tab) – Settings⚙️( (top right) – Fix Error – Refresh Data].

I'm not getting the notifications for nudge or SumOne Time.

First, sign out and sign in again. Then go to [Home – Couple💍 (bottom right tab) – Settings⚙️( (top right) – Fix Error – Refresh Data].
